Misión Impacto was a reality prime-time TV series and social action web application about Colombian social entrepreneurs, aimed not only to entertain viewers, but also to educate and inspire them to become catalysts for change. The web app that accompanied the show allowed viewers in Colombia to contribute to the entrepreneurs’ causes, intuitively and securely, while obtaining rewards for their actions.

Each week, viewers that generated the most impact on the web app were publicly recognized as change agents and interviewed in the media, thus becoming ambassadors for the social causes featured on the show. Grand prize winners obtained all-inclusive trips, iMacs, iPads and entrepreneurship training opportunities from prestigious institutions.

Gamification
Platform

The first ever gamification platform for doing good linked to a TV Series allowed viewers to contribute in many ways to the entrepreneurs’ causes, intuitively and securely, while obtaining rewards for their actions. Each week, viewers that generated the most impact through the platform were publicly recognized as change agents.
HOW VIEWERS BECAME CHANGEMAKERS
INSPIRATION TV Viewers were inspired by the courageous stories of social entrepreneurs on the show and how they were transforming their communities. ONLINE REGISTRATION Call-to-action ads during the TV show and on social media invited viewers to visit the online platform and sign up to be part of the social change movement. ACTION Users were presented with a menu of options to contribute to social causes in an easy, fast and secure way by using game dynamics to increase engagement. IMPACT & REWARDS Top users received rewards for their impact: from public recognition as agents of change to prizes, such as iPads, trips, and mentorships on entrepreneurship.
